First Ever MacKenzie-Childs Artisan Craft Festival

With less than a week, we are proud to be showcasing at the First Ever MacKenzie-Childs Artisan Craft Festival!!!

For those who don’t know MacKenzie-Childs was started by Victoria MacKenzie and Richard Childs. They were both into pottery and created pieces with vivid color pallets and various patterns.

It evolved and grew through the years, but unfortunately, in 2000, they went bankrupt and sold off the company. Victoria and Richard eventually went to live on a boat in NYC.

But it isn’t really the story of MaKenzie-Childs that has been made famous. It is their pieces of pottery, especially the classic black and white checkerboard pattern. And as a result, they have a cult following.

For many years, they would have a barn sale in July, and people would camp out just to be able to be one of the first ones to access it.

But I can tell you that when they do something, they go all out.

And next weekend, they have not only over 125 vendors on-site, but they also have food trucks, a Friday night welcome dinner, classes to paint pottery and flower arranging, and probably other surprises.

We are thrilled to be part of this inaugural event!!!! So, if you are looking for something to do, come join us!
